Re-Opening Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 7 PM

We're Back for In-Person Service.
The time is finally here!  We are very excited to announce that Highland Church will be reopening on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 for in-person service on WEDNESDAYS ONLY at 7:00 pm.   We look forward to seeing your smiling faces!

Admission will be by reservation.  Reservations can be made online or by phone.  Temperature and health screenings will be administered at the door.

PLEASE NOTE-The Sunday 10:30 am service will remain online-only.

Here are answers to some questions you may have:
  • How has the church prepared to reopen?
- The church building has been professionally sanitized using CDC-approved hospital-grade cleaning products.  Enhanced cleaning will continue on an ongoing basis.
- Some seats and rows have been blocked off to maintain social distancing.
- Worshippers and all guests entering the building are required to wear face masks at all times, maintain social distance of at least 6 feet, and follow posted guidelines for social distancing and hygiene.
- Hand sanitizer is available throughout the church.
- Water fountains will not be usable.
- At arrival and departure times, doors will be propped open.
- Offering buckets will be placed in the back of the Sanctuary for guests who want to give. Online giving is encouraged through https://onrealm.org/
-No paper bulletins will be distributed.  Instead, service bulletins and news will be posted to the church website (highlandny.org) or emailed by request.

  • What will the building hours and service schedule be?
    - The doors will open 2 hours prior to the service.
- Service length will be shortened.
- The 160-20 Highland Avenue entrance will be closed.  Please use the 87-24 162nd Street entrance.
- The Sanctuary, foyers and restrooms will be open for Wednesday worship services.  All other areas of the building will remain closed.
- Maximum attendance is 100 persons.  
- The building will be closed when services are not taking place.  There will be no after-service gatherings or refreshments served.
- We will continue to live stream the Sunday 10:30 am service and the Wednesday 7:00 pm service.  
- Administrative Departments are available by phone, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am – 2:30 pm.  Please call (718) 297-7475 or email info@highlandny.org to ask questions or speak with a member of our staff.

  • Will Ministries and Events resume?
- Ministries that are directly involved in the worship services will resume with limited numbers of people.  
- We encourage you to join one of our online small groups or classes.  Please visit highlandny.org/groups-online to learn more.
- No in-person ministry events will be scheduled.

Guidelines for Funerals, Memorials and Weddings:
- All ceremonies will be conducted within social distancing and safety guidelines that apply to in-person services.
- Weddings and Funerals will be conducted for Members on weekdays only.  
- Wedding and Funeral/ Memorial arrangements may be made via phone, videoconference and/ or email.  Payments may be made via onrealm.org.
- Premarital classes will be conducted via videoconference.

Meetings and Biblical Advisement
- In-person visitors must complete a health screening at every visit.  Visitors shall be denied entry if they report COVID-19 exposure or symptoms during the prior 14 days or have a temperature over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Maximum occupancy for in-person meetings is 3 people, including the advisor.
- Phone, videoconference or in-person visits are by appointment only.

First of all thanks to my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ our lord that I'm healthy and free of covet 19 virus and are willing to attend service at Highland Church. I missed you all guys very much an are willing to reconnect back with my fellowmen in service and worship Amen
